Dear Toradex Team,
I have a problem with the Settime Routine in the RemoteAdmin interface.
If I want to change the time zone there, this is only possible once. The second time the time zone jumps back.
I suspect that this is a bug in Windows Compact 7.
I was not able to reproduce this with 2.1b2 image.
This is what I have done:
Logged in on the remote admin open the Set Time page: URL http:///remoteadmin/SetTime.htm
Switch the readio button to “Set time manually”. The debug output returned “Registry Saved”.
Changed the time and press “Apply”.
Repeated the last step several times. The time immediately changed after that.
Could you please share some more details how you try to do this and which image version you are using? Please also enable the debug output, may be we see some more details there.
Ok, with this I was able to reproduce this. Seems like the timezone setting can not be overwritten once it is different than the default value. I was able to reproduce this bug in all our platforms, not only the Tegra.
Officially MS does not support the Remote Admin in CE 7, we ported it from CE6. So MS will not fix this bug probably. If this is a critical thing for you we can schedule a fix for one of our next releases. If you want you can also check the code in \WINCE600\PUBLIC\SERVERS\OAK\SAMPLES\REMOTEADMIN\MODULES\TIMESERVICE\timeservice.cpp if you have PB for CE 6 installed. I think there is a bug in function UpdateTimeZone.
@Saphymo: After a discussion with the team we found that this issue actually is related to an already known issue 27614 . This issue probably only happens for some time zones. MS will not fix this as the remote admin officially is not supported under CE 7.
