How can i create a standard SD card image (extract and execute update.sh to copy files to SD-card) for the iMX7D eMMC? I noticed this question https://www.toradex.com/community/questions/19159/bsp-linux-images-for-colibri-imx7-1gb-emmc.html which states that “Legacy images as you were looking at are not supported.” but why? What has to be done to generate such an image? Regards
Which exact part of “not supported” is it that you have trouble with understanding?
I want to know if there is any good reason why it is not supported or if one can adapt TK1 scripts for example as the TK1 uses eMMC memory as well.

The legacy update is not supported anymore, since this functionality was moved to Toradex Easy Installer. The Toradex Easy Installer is a very easy and user friendly tool to flash the image on the modules. You can always adapt the scripts for your case but this is out of scope of our support.
