Torizon example requires VS2017 but can only download 2019 now

Hi Guys,

the examples for C development for Torizon require Visual Studio 2017. You can no longer download 2017, only 2019 and MS no longer seems to allow downloads of old versions, at least not without a subscription. 2019 will not allow installation of the Torizon extension for Visual Studio.

So for the moment I cannot do any development or evaluation of Torizon.

Any ideas for a solution?

Dan

Greetings @onedumbtrucker,

No worries you can still download older versions of Visual Studio from here: Visual Studio Older Downloads - 2019, 2017, 2015 & Previous Versions

Do note that to access these downloads you need to join the following (free) dev essentials program: Visual Studio Dev Essentials - Visual Studio

Once you’ve joined the program you can then access the older downloads.

Best Regards,
Jeremias

Downloading now, thanks!

You are welcome.

As a side note, we plan to support VS2019 too, we have people currently working on that. I can’t provide you a release date yet, but I hope it’s not taking too long.
