I am using iMX6DL with iris board and installed os is Embedded Linux.
Iris board has 40 pin connector and it is mentioned that 8 gpio pins but i want to use 12 pin as gpio. So how can I use other pin as gpio to full fill my requirement?

Indeed it’s possible to use 12 or even more pins as GPIO pins. You can configure this your device tree. Please go through the article in this link: Device Tree Customization | Toradex Developer Center that explains in detail about the procedure.
