Current uuu versio is too low, error while using recovery mode from Windows

I try to follow the guide to install easy installer after i played with Boot2QT on an Apalis IMX8 QP.
I downloaded easy installer V 2.0b3 on my windows 10 PC.
I entered recovery mode successfully as far as i can tell.
Connected the OTG port with the PC.
Launched recovery-windows.bat. I got the following error:

Downloading Toradex Easy Installer...
uuu (Universal Update Utility) for nxp imx chips -- libuuu_1.2.135-0-gacaf035

Wait for Known USB Device Appear...
Error: Current uuu version is too low, please download latest one

ECHO is off. Failed downloading Tezi
Press any key to continue . . .

Any idea what is the issue

I checked Daniel’s module on my setup with serial attached on the eval board. With tezi 2.0b3 I get the same error as daniel above.

With tezi 2.0b2 the batch script starts but then hangs as follows:

Downloading Toradex Easy Installer...
uuu (Universal Update Utility) for nxp imx chips -- libuuu_1.2.135-0-gacaf035

On the serial console I see the following:

Is there a known good version of easy installer that works with the Quad plus?

For most later i.MX 8/8X SKUs the latest Tezi is required due to some USB IDs previously having been missing. That said, one could maybe use earlier Tezi with later uuu.auto file found in the recovery folder.

I believe Ming updated to a later uuu version but I fear only for Linux and not for Windows.

Thanks a lot. I assume somebody follows up with Ming. Or is he here on the community?

Hi @daniel.tx

Either you can change the version of uuu to 1.2.39 in uuu.auto file or use the newest uuu.exe file?

Best regards,
Jaski
