RS232 Serial communication not working

I try to communicate the PC and Colibri VF50 module via RS232 Interface.I am connecting Module RS232 to PC RS232.i change the jumper settings as well(JP17 and JP19 to RXD and TXD).i am using Teraterm and settings like Baudrate,stopbit are assigned correctly.But there is no boot up messages display on Teraterm(But we can see the bootup messages on monitor which is connected via VGA adapter).

Is there any thing i missed out?

After talking to the customer, it turned out the problem was related to the cable. Using another null-modem cable solved the issue. Communication works as expected now.
