Panel settings Automatic hiding -> enable Minimize panel when not in use

Under “Panel Settings → Panel Preferences → Advanced” we have set
“Automatic hiding → enable Minimize panel when not in use”.

This works fine but after reboot, this setting is sometimes reseted and the taskbar is not hided anymore.
Any ideas why this could happen?

Where is this setting stored (in filesystem)?
Is it possible to directly set it by shell script?

Any other workarounds available?

Panel setting are stored in a file system. Please refer to LXDE documentation for more details. However you need to do a graceful shutdown or issue a “sync” command to be sure that changes are actually saved to a flash.
