Apalis iMX6 Quad 2GB IT CPU clock

Hi,

We have a client that requires module with 1GHz processor with 2GB of RAM. Closest module with similar specifications is Apalis iMX6 Quad 2GB IT, but this module has CPU freq of 800MHz because of IT version.

Can we choose this module and change CPU frequency from 800MHz to 1GHz? Industrial temperature grade is not required by the customer in this case.

Hello mlinar,

keep in mind that we also have the non IT version. What are the constraints of the product?
could you use the non IT version with higher clock settings?

As I mentioned the customer requirements are 1GHz CPU and 2GB RAM, the non IT version doesn’t have 2GB of ram so that’s why I asked if we can choose IT version and change the CPU frequency from 800MHz to 1GHz.

I have to check back with R&D. It can be changed but then I assume the function con not be guaranteed over the full IT temp range.

I am aware of than, also the IT temp range is not required by the customer.

Unfortunately, this change is not something we recommend.
