Error installing Embedded Linux root file system

Hello all

I will be starting my development on Voila VF50 with linux on it. So I recently installed ubuntu on my system and was following this link for initial setup. I have installed everything(Cross compiler, eclipse, minicom etc) as per the steps but was not able to install Embedded Linux root file system. As soon as I entered the listed commands in steps, it makes some HTTP request and then shows Error 404: Not Found . Please guide.

Attached is the full command.

I am using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and used this command to get the root file system sudo wget http://files.toradex.com/Colibri/Linux/Images/Colibri_T20_LinuxImageV2.4Beta1_20150518.tar.bz2

What exact version of ubuntu and please provide complete command and corresponding error log on console.

@sanchayan I have attached the image of error log. I think the links for the downloads have been moved to other location. I opened the link for the download page (which you have mentioned on that same page) of root file system. As I’ll be using VF processor, which one should I download linux console or linux image.

One can just click on the link and download. Also you speak of VF50 but seem to be downloading an image for T20. If you do not need X or a desktop environment, then you may download the console image. Also it is not recommended to be root, please work with user account.

Note that under the link Single Board Computers (SBCs), Computer on Modules, System on Modules only the most recent image version is available. If you really want the rather old Colibri_T20_LinuxImageV2.4Beta1_20150518 you can find it in a subfolder ‘old’.

You probably want latest and greatest which at the time of writing would be for Colibri T20 Colibri_T20_LinuxImageV2.6.1Beta1_20160929.tar.bz2. Easiest is to browse the files available here.
