How to flash WinCE7 on iMX7D?

Hi,

we are using colibri imx7d som (v1.1c) and iris carrier board (v1.1a).

we are trying to port wince 7.

but not able to port. i could not get right guidelines and documentation.

i referred this link " iMX7 WEC Software ".

image on above link is saying connect the two pins between 21 and 19 in x22 connector.

but i couldn’t find connector x22. which is the right one?

which is recovery button on iris board?

and colibri imx7d som came with Linux OS. how to stop it and port wince 7?

can u suggest guidelines / documentation / link to support on this?

The image shown in the referred link is of Colibri Evalution board.

which is recovery button on iris board?

There is no recovery button available on iris board . However you can still go into recovery mode by shorting pads on the module. Refer to i.MX7 datasheet for more information

currently i.MX7 is in alpha version and we have tested using Colibri Evalution Board. So,we recommend you to use Colibri Evalution Board for i.MX7
NOTE : Currently on iMX7, WinCE image is in preview state which means it is RAM based and after reset it will again run on LINUX. So, in case you reboot then you need to use recovery mode to boot from SD card.

hi sahil malian, thanks for support. right now we have to go with iris board only. can u help on this in future (for porting wince) on iris board?
and we are ready to go with even linux also. we are new to linux. we need to start from scratch. can u provide some guidelines to port linux ?

Colibri iMX7 has Linux installed by default. What do you exactly refer to by porting? Are you referring to flashing Linux on the module? See here. Also see our Getting Started page which covers Linux as well.

hi, referred flashing only. after linux boot, asking for user name and password. Colibri iMX7 connected with pc using rs232 interface. where can i get this login detail?

User name is root with no password.
