Powered by NVIDIA: Tegra K1 Quad Core Processor

The Apalis TK1 is a small form-factor System on Module (SoM) based on the powerful NVIDIA® Tegra K1 SoC. The Cortex A15 quad core CPU offers an operational frequency up to 2.2 GHz. The module offers supreme performance and advanced graphic capabilities at optimal power consumption. The module also exposes wide range of high-speed and advanced interfaces such as Gbit Ethernet, PCIe, SATA, and USB 3.0.

The Tegra K1 features a powerful NVIDIA® GeForce® Kepler™ Mobile Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), which extends the CUDA® compute architecture to low power consumption devices. Due to its 192 CUDA cores, the GPU shader is able to peak with up to 325 GFLOPS and supports OpenGL® 4.4 and OpenGL® ES 3.1.

Optimized for Vision and Computing applications

The Apalis TK1 system on module will be ideal for building high-end embedded products in the areas of vision and computing. Developers can utilize the Full CUDA support offered by this module for high-performance computing or advanced 3D-graphics tasks. Deep learning/machine learning applications can also use this SoM.

It offers a wide range of interfaces from simple GPIOs, industry standard I2C, SPI, UART, to advanced interfaces such as Gbit Ethernet, PCIe, SATA, USB 3.0. It also supports many multimedia interfaces including LVDS, HDMI, Digital Audio, etc.

Apalis TK1 offers an ideal platform for taking Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, which are based on NVIDIA Jetson TK1 Board, to mass-production.

Robust and Pin-compatible Apalis Family

This System on Module is pin-compatible with the other SoMs in the Apalis family, so existing Apalis-based products can easily scale up their performance by using the Apalis TK1 in their platform. MXM SnapLock™ provides a unique connector mechanism for fixing the modules on to the carrier board. Apalis also comes with support for ready-made passive cooling solutions for the most demanding applications.

Compatible Carrier Boards are available for this NVIDIA Tegra K1 based System on Module (SoM). The combination of the TK1 SoM and Carrier Board offers a complete kit for product development.
