Introduction to Windows 10 IoT Core
With the onset of Windows® 10, this is the first time the same Windows OS will be used across the full spectrum of computing platforms - from small embedded Arm®devices to mobile phones, PCs and servers even including devices like Xbox™ and HoloLens™. It allows all these devices to share the exact same drivers and applications.
In this webinar recording, you will learn what Windows 10 IoT Core is, the use cases, and its advantages and limitations compared to other solutions. We will give you a first-hand introduction to the development experience on Visual Studio™ 2015. This includes Graphical User Interfaces and HW access to interfaces on a Toradex Colibri T30 with NVIDIA® Tegra SoC.
The key takeaway includes:
- Understanding what Windows 10 IoT Core is, and its advantages and limitations
- Learning about the developer experience and how you can gain access to low level interfaces like GPIOs, I2C and SPI
- Seeing how you can utilize the Universal Windows Platform (UWP)
