MAB Labs has developed Linux userspace applications for a health wellness product targeting a Toradex Colibri iMX8QXP SoM. The product has a range of sensors, including a RGB camera, an IR camera, a mmWave radar device, and a codec for audio recording and playback.

The company has customized Toradex's Yocto BSP for a health wellness product targeting a Toradex Colibri iMX8QXP SoM. The product has a range of sensors, including a RGB camera, an IR camera, a mmWave radar device, and a codec for audio recording and playback. This work included creating a separate layer and corresponding recipes to apply the client's customizations, customizing the device tree, and the Linux kernel. This work also included the development of Linux device drivers to interface with some of the custom peripherals.

Project Reference

MAB Labs has recently helped a startup develop a health wellness product. The product uses a Toradex Colibri iMX8QXP SoM as its baseline CPU, running embedded Linux that was built using the OpenEmbedded/YoctoProject BSP provided by Toradex as the baseline. MAB Labs assisted in customizing the baseline Toradex BSP to suit the needs of the custom hardware. This included a Lepton IR camera, a Sony IMX319 RGB camera, a TI mmWave radar sensor, and a Microchip audio codec. MAB Labs assisted in the board bringup, development of drivers to interface with these peripherals, and creation and customization of our client's layer in the OpenEmbedded/YoctoProject BSP. MAB Labs also developed userspace applications to update the firmware on these peripherals and to exercise these peripherals during manufacturing.
