He explains how Torizon removes common pain points in the development and maintenance of embedded and IoT devices, so Toradex customers can focus on their applications.

Torizon simplifies the development and offers secure over-the-air (OTA) updates and device monitoring.

In addition to providing a technical overview of Torizon’s workings, Daniel also talks about how Toradex maintains and improves Torizon daily!

I was impressed by the wide range of products Torizon can be used. From smart city to health devices, it covers a variety of hardware and software needs.

Torizon is based on Uptane framework, a standard built for automotive applications and audited for security. It has a fault-tolerant recovery system, meaning if there are any crashes or issues, it will automatically revert to its last saved specifications.

Torizon is currently supported on Toradex SoMs with NXP^® i.MX6, i.MX7 and i.MX8 SoCs. TorizonCore the OS on the device is fully open source and can be ported to other Hardware.
