We are pleased to announce the Toradex BSP Layers and Reference Images for Yocto Project 6.6.0 quarterly release.

  • Verdin SoMs Support
    • Improve CAN interface names by adding network alternative name
  • Apalis Evaluation Board Support
    • Add support for Apalis Evaluation Board V1.2.
  • Verdin AM62 Support
    • Add USB Role Switch Support
    • Configure thermal threshold depending on the SoM on the temperature range (IT vs Commercial)
    • Add Heterogeneous Multi-core Processing (HMP) Support
    • Add Support for Verdin AM62 Solo 512MB V1.1B and Verdin AM62 Solo 512MB WB IT V1.1B
  • Non-WinCE i.MX 6 and i.MX 7 SoMs Support
    • Add Support for Apalis and Colibri i.MX 6 and i.MX 7-based SoMs without WinCE on BSP6

  • Linux Kernel updates
    • Add experimental PREEMPT_RT distro variant for Verdin AM62 SoMs

Hardware Support

  • Volume products: Verdin iMX8M Plus, Apalis iMX6, Apalis iMX8, Colibri iMX6, Colibri iMX6ULL, Colibri iMX7, Colibri iMX8X, and Verdin iMX8M Mini
    This release is intended to be used in production for these modules.
  • Sample products: Verdin AM62
    Due to the hardware status of the sample products, this downstream-based release is intended for development. Only second-generation Verdin products are supported.
