Extended availability until 2032 for Colibri iMX6ULL SoM from Toradex
Toradex is pleased to announce extended minimum product availability for the Colibri iMX6ULL System on Module (based on the NXP® i.MX 6ULL applications processor) lasting until the year 2032. This announcement follows NXP’s addition of the i.MX 6ULL processor to its Product Longevity program.
Extending the availability of its product is a result of NXP’s long-term commitment to its customers and the very successful presence of Toradex’s iMX6ULL-based Colibri SoM in the embedded market.
This move is another expression of Toradex’s commitment to its customers and its well-established presence in the embedded market for almost two decades. Long-term availability has always been a key strength and focus of Toradex, as evidenced by the fact that Toradex shipped its first SoM, the Colibri PXA270, to customers for more than 15 years! The latest SoCs, such as the modern, 64-bit NXP i.MX 8X SoCs, continue to be made available in the proven, pin-compatible Colibri form factor, providing customers with an easy upgrade path and further extending the life cycle of these products.
Toradex also recognizes that long-term availability and pin-compatibility are not very useful without appropriate software support. Toradex’s large, in-house Software Development team focuses not only on developing new products but also on providing continuous support to its existing products.
