Since a lot of modern microcontrollers now use embedded DSI (MIPI), Riverdi decided to follow the trend and provide DSI displays. DSI is faster than LVDS, lets you do more and is becoming the new standard. This is the interface used in mobile phones and tablets so, as it often happens with technology, it is now making its way to other devices and markets, e.g. industrial, medical and automotive. It is now used as default by many new platforms.
