Equipped with NXP i.MX 6DL and NXP i.MX 6S SoCs, the Arm Cortex-A9 cores are clocked at 1GHz for commercial temperature variants, while the industrial temperature variant has a peak frequency of 800 MHz.


Ready for multimedia

With a 3D GPU, h.264 encoder and decoder and an integrated ISP, Colibri iMX6 is well suitable for multimedia. parallel camera interface and USB 2.0 cameras are options for video capture, while for displaying an output you can drive dual displays through RGB and HDMI.


Rugged and reliable

Colibri iMX6 can withstand severe shock, vibration and temperature conditions. It is therefore ideal for a wide range of applications, including Industrial Automation, Medical Devices, Test and Measurement, Specialty Vehicles, Transportation Building Automation and much more.


Torizon for Remote Updates and Fleet Monitoring

The SoM is available with a tightly integrated Torizon Cloud (formerly Torizon Platform) accelerating the development and maintaining your products. Some key features include highly secure and reliable remote updates, fleet monitoring and remote access.


Toradex Colibri Computer Module Family

The Colibri iMX6 is pin-compatible with the other CoMs in the Colibri family. This allows you to cost-optimize your design with no hardware redesign costs and also be future-proof. All of Toradex's Colibri Carrier Boards are compatible with the Colibri iMX6. Extensive product documentation, developer support, service partners and third-party carrier boards build our strong Colibri ecosystem.


Operating Systems

Toradex offers free support and maintenance for Windows Embedded Compact and Embedded Linux on the Colibri iMX6 SoMs. This allows system designers to focus the application instead of focusing on the OS and low-level device drivers. Other OS such as QNX and Android are supported by our partners.

Torizon Embedded Linux OS

Torizon is a ready-to-use Linux-based software platform ideal for use in areas like industry and medicine, where reliability is critical. It is a developer-friendly ecosystem that simplifies the process of developing and maintaining embedded software.


Reference Images for Yocto Project

Toradex develops and maintains a Yocto Project-compatible, production-quality embedded Linux BSP in-house.


Windows Embedded Compact

Windows Embedded Compact 7 and 2013 is supported on Colibri iMX6. The development and maintenance is carried out in-house by Toradex. WEC allows you to use Microsoft .Net Compact Framework and Visual Studio.


Android

Android on Colibri iMX6 is supported by our service partners Kynetics and Antmicro.


QNX

QNX on NXP i.MX 6-based modules is supported by our service partner Triadem.
